Covid-19 has brought a lot of challenges for all businesses, especially those, like us, who rely on close contact services. The majority of aesthetic practices have spent most of the last year closed for business, which has been devastating. We have taken these challenges and hit them head on to grow during this global pandemic! A lot of that is thanks to the amazing people that we have been able to work with along the way. So we thought that we would introduce you to our work family!
Our work family
On Saturday 25th September, Dr Malaika Clinics headed up north (to Manchester) to attend the Aesthetic Medicine Live North conference. Although, we did have an ulterior motive for our trip! AML North also gave us the opportunity to finally get together with our extended work family.
What did we get up to?
We met up once more with the amazing people of Lipology Academy (whose fantastic courses we teach at DMC Academy). And the incredibly talented Dr Tauquir Ahmad of London Aesthetics on Harley Street. We also had the greatest honour of finally meeting the one and only Roberto Caldeira (creator of MyMed)! Microneedling with his MyFiller Revitalise serums is one of our most popular treatments in clinic. We also teach this course in our academy, and sell the products in our shop.
The conference
It wasn’t all a social call though, we also spoke to some very exciting exhibitors, some of whom we are already working with (such as Yotta Pay and Get Harley), and others who we hope to work with very soon.
We also attended some informative business talks, and made the most of being the ones to lie on the couch and enjoy some treatments.
The Evening
No family get together would be complete without far too much food! We ended our day at the Dakota Grill to continue our business talks, and enjoy some of the most incredible food and cocktails. We cannot wait to do it all again!
